Wow, it has been a couple of weeks of radio silence, I just have not had the energy to sit and write up a post! We had the week of mini-me not being well, she went back to school for 2 days before the half-term because she was so bored at home and because she wanted to get her superstar of the week certificate! I couldn’t make it as I was at work but photos were sent and she is so chuffed with herself and that her bestie got hers too!
Half term followed, I worked it all, we had to get a new washing machine and a tumble dryer, then a nice hugely expensive quote for a new boiler and the Water man came round. An expense that I don’t want this time of year!!! We had a family meal last Sunday for my Nan’s 85th and it was lovely to catch up with my family, just what I needed after a particularly rubbish week at work, was going through a low phase but me and the boy got a random date night, I whooped his ass in the arcades and then we went to watch the Joker. I have thoughts about it….
On Friday I went to a book fayre in Folkestone with my friend Sharon from work and I may have got star struck again!!! I also bought a lot of new books….but I finally got to meet Lizzie Chantree, Emma Pullar, Karen Aldous and Sue Moorcroft, it was lovely to chat and they all signed their books for me yay!
Just a highlight of my last couple of weeks
On to more bookish things – I apologise now I have been rubbish
What am I currently reading?
What have I read since last time?
Not too shabby! And Two of them might feature in my book of year….can you guess which ones?
What have I bought this week? (Including Kindle Unlimited)
Hmmm……..this is over a couple of weeks..
What has landed on my lap this week?
Anything else?
I have been rubbish with taking photos of books and it’s going to get worse! Once I have done my current tours and reads I am going to start NaNo. I have written a prologue and an epilogue….but it’s the bit in the middle so need to get my head down!
I have posted some reviews but this post is long enough and I don’t want to bore you anymore…
Have you read anything so far that might make your book of year list?
Until next time xxx

Wow you’ve been very busy! Unbelievably I have read my favourite book of the year, The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys a wonderful historical fiction set in 1950sSpain. It’s actually a YA book, which I didn’t realise when I read it via The Pigeonhole, and I probably wouldn’t have bothered with if I’d known. xx
Zoé says
Oh I saw that Pigeonhole but I didn’t pick it up! Ooh that’s awesome you have found it already! I am torn between a couple ??♀️ xx
