Original cast members from the beloved TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, reunite for an all-new adventure about connections that never die—even if you bury them.
A decade has passed since the epic final battle that concluded Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV). The game-changing spell that gave power to all potential Slayers persists. With new Slayers constantly emerging, things are looking grim for the bad guys. Rebellious vampire Spike (James Marsters) is working undercover in Los Angeles with his old pal Clem (James Charles Leary) when he meets feisty, rookie Slayer, Indira (Laya DeLeon Hayes), who wants Spike to be her mentor. Stakes intensify as Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter) emerges from an alternate reality where she alone is the Slayer, and Buffy Summers doesn’t exist. Cordelia enlists Spike’s help with a classic big bad terrorizing her world…his ex, Drusilla (Juliet Landau). Giles (Anthony Head), Anya (Emma Caulfield Ford), Jonathan (Danny Strong), and Tara (Amber Benson) also return, but through the years and the vastness of the multiverse, not everyone is who they used to be…
Slayers: A Buffyverse Story is written and directed by Amber Benson and Chris Golden, and co-directed by Kc Wayland.

Well, well, well, what can I say!! I BLOODY LOVED IT!!! I admit at the beginning it took me a while to get the voices in my head because even though some of the characters were reprising their roles, they just didn’t sound….like them. Giles to me was not Giles; I loved him more than anyone. Tara and Dru took me a while to get my head around too. But that’s me, I think it just took them a moment to get back into character and I fell in love with them all over again. It was epic and I had chills when I heard their voices! It was a movie or TV show in my head. The sound effects, casting, and script, are just awesome. You can only get this on audible and to be honest I couldn’t imagine it any other way.
This came at the best time as I had just finished re-watching Angel and Buffy for the 2nd time(It could be more 😉 and with fresh eyes to it. My love, sadness, heartbreak and anger all came back and I reverted back to a younger me. Then this audiobook came out and I was done for. Finally, Spike in the lead, and Cordy as a slayer, it all just worked. I did rather like Indira, she was a mixture of Faith and Kendra with a whole lot more spunk. It was the perfect way to do some of the characters, cough CordyAnyaTaracough the justice they deserved.
That ending!! I mean so many things to work around and could it mean that some favourites could come back and I need to frigging know now!
The storyline is something right out of the TV show (ignoring the problems it had) but I would love to see this played out. It is most definitely a tribute to a Spike and Drusilla plan!
Oh and Spike singing – yyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
This was such a production and I can’t tell you how happy this made me feel. It was everything I wanted, I needed and so much more.
Now when do we get the next one?
Until the next time xxx
