We had a 3 day intense tour for The Ice Maiden
Let us recap and see if we can find out what happened to Maddie
23rd August and the tour is afoot!
Review by twoladiesandabook (IG), “I devoured this one in a day! Loved the style, it made it easy to follow. For the story itself, was fab. I was questioning almost every single character, suspicious of all of them.”
Extract at And On She Reads, “‘Perfect. Try not to worry Maddie. Your mum might be fine. I know it sounds bad but sometimes they tell you the worst so as not to raise your expectations.’”
Extract at b for bookreview, “She’s shamelessly helping herself to my marmite. Again. It still shocks me to see her newly coloured hair and it reminds me of the mess she left in the bathroom when she bleached it. Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery but she’s pushing it.”
Review by The Word is Out (FB), “With lots of twists and confusing memories, the mists clear and events begin to make sense in this well told and engrossing mystery thriller.”
Review by dds_book_reviews (IG), “This really is a coming of age tale. Madds finds out who she truly is & who she can trust.”
Review by Sue Loves to Read, “I really enjoyed this book. Quickest I have read. I had my theory but I was wrong. I really liked Maddie. I loved the cover.”
Review by Donna’s Interviews, Reviews and Giveaways (FB), “This is a gripping book, that you will absolutely have to keep turning the pages to find out what on earth is going on.”
Extract at The Magic of Wor(l)ds, “And here we are again. Hand sanitiser. It’s a must for me. She didn’t. The woman in front of me. I’m scowling at her back but it’s pointless. She won’t care–never mind see me.”
Review by library_of_lucyg (IG), “This is an incredible twisted psychological thriller that is a great page turner. I really enjoyed the style of writing by Jane Badrock, this being the first I have read by this author.”
25th August and gosh that was quick, it’s the end of the tour!
Review by Portable Magic, “From the outset, there are several questions that Badrock poses for the reader and this made the story very intriguing.”
Jazzy Book Reviews puts Jane in the spotlight as we learn what her top 5 movies are, 10 facts about herself, what she does when she’s not writing and so much more…
Review by Nemesis Book Blog, “It is well written and as I said, it wasn’t edge of your seat mystery thriller, but I still couldn’t put it down, I did thoroughly enjoy it and looking forward to more of the authors work in the future.”
Review by Sharon Beyond the Books, “Jane has created characters that are so real they almost jump out of the page as I always find with her work. The twists and turns are perfectly placed to make this a thriller that ticked every single one of the boxes needed to keep me sat there reading until I had done.”
Review by lets_escape_with_books (IG), “Badrock certainly knows how to write and I think her plot of this book was fantastic. I couldn’t put it down and I didn’t see how any of these twist and turns would play out. I think this is a brilliant book and definitely an author people need to see more of.”
Review by Books In My Opinion, “This became a real page turner around half way through with so many red herrings that I began to suspect everyone of having a hand in the events that began to plague Maddie.”
Review by sambooka23 (IG), “The ending was mind blowing, I don’t even know if my brain knew it was coming… It totally caught me off guard which is so unlike me as I normally have a rough idea of what is coming.”
So what did we learn about The Ice Maiden?
That the ending of this book will blow your mind with an ending you don’t see coming! This might be down to all the red herrings you find on your way! It is a book you will find difficult to put down, in fact you might devour it in one day!
Well that is well and truly a wrap! Thank you to all the fantastic bloggers who help support this tour and to everyone who shared the posts!
Until the next adventure xxx
