Christmas is a joyous time, but not everyone is merry and bright.
Nicola is a rising star at the top of the corporate ladder, but her personal life is a disaster. Her office affair has lost its allure, and the last thing she wants to think about is Christmas. A night of cancelled trains and festive Christmas carols at Waterloo Station is just about the last straw...
Dmitri loves conducting his pop-up choir during the festive season, meeting people, and spreading joy and cheer around London. But he carries deep secrets from his past that robbed him of his dream to become a concert pianist.

I loved the storyline for this one, it was a lovely book to read and it really helped me unwind and relax. The characters were genuine and I really warmed to them. The writing style is lovely and t works so well for this genre. It was a complete treat to read for me.
Daydreamers Thoughts says
It was a book that held me captivated and I simply struggled to walk away from it and get on with other things. It is also a book that stayed with me after it ended as well. I felt like I wanted to read more about Nicola and Dmitri’s lives but alas, I have to move on. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for further books from Lauren Westwood in the future and would highly recommend this book too.
Book Addict Rambles says
This is the first book I’ve read by Lauren Westwood, and I can say it won’t be the last. Her writing style is engaging, captivating and does keep you glued to the pages. I think if I connected to Nicola like I did Dmitri, then this book for me would be a spectacular book. The authors descriptions of everything, her knowledge of pianists, and just her way with words is what kept me going with this book.
Some fab reviews here! Look forward to checking this book out! I do love the cover it is so cute!!

Thanks so much for having my book on your blog and being part of the blitz. To respond to Jen above – I’m not the biggest fan of holiday books either and that’s why I tried to make it a little different than the ‘fluff’ out there. I think the holiday element to the story is secondary, other than perhaps as a bit of a nod to A Christmas Carol which, in my view, is the ultimate Christmas book and actually very dark. Merry Christmas to all of you… Lauren
