Today I welcome Sarah Denzil to my blog, with her book
So due to some unforeseen circumstances, I did not get to finish the book in time for my stop but what I can say about what I have read already is WOW!! I am hooked on this book and from what I have been told already about it I can not wait to finish and I will share my review when I have done. But WOW! I am questioning the motive and behaviour of every single character, and another thing I love is I do not like any character so far in the book. Even the one who shares my daughter’s name, they are all awful but I LOVE IT! It makes the story so much more intriguing and has you hooked from the chilling prologue.
So what is this WOW book about

Well that was intense…..the only words I can utter right now are gripping and compelling. If you like a story that has you second guessing every movement then this is the story for you. I was pulled into the plot on page one and read on with baited breath in complete anticipation to get to that all important reveal moment and what a moment that was. Just when I thought I had hit the nail on the head the story did a complete 180 which left me gob smacked. I loved it!
Hooked from Page One says
There were so many intriguing twists and turns that made me want to get to the bottom of who Grace really was and why she did what she did. What could have prompted a young girl to kill herself?
I was grabbed right into the storyline straight away, despite the very sad situation of Grace being found dead. The whole book was very emotional, but the first few chapters in particular were particularly heart-breaking watching Grace’s parents, Kat and Charles, trying to come to terms with their daughter killing herself. I have to admit my maternal instincts kicked in and all I wanted to do was protect my own child and keep them safe.
Novel Deelights says
Only Daughter is an immensely gripping read. The kind you get stuck into and find yourself looking up from the pages hours later to find it’s gone dark outside and your cup of tea went cold ages ago. Despite Kat being one of those characters I couldn’t quite put my finger on, her search for the truth behind her daughter’s death was immensely engrossing. No matter how you feel about Kat, it isn’t hard to imagine that as a mother you never want to admit that you failed your child somehow, that it’s near impossible to accept that your child chose to leave this life behind and you’d do just about anything to find answers.
Until next time xxx
