Tom Rollins is heading south through rural Washington when he sees a teenage girl being manhandled at a gas station. Tom intercedes and the girl escapes. Only to turn up as a stowaway in the back of Tom’s pickup truck.
Her name is Taylor Hendricks and she’s on the run from a group of shady and powerful men who will stop at nothing to get her back. Taylor knows that if she can make it to Oregon, she’ll be safe. Tom promises to get her there.
But the odds aren’t good. With ruthless enemies hot on their heels, and others waiting up ahead, the road to Oregon becomes a highway to hell and Tom will need every one of his lethal skills if he and Taylor are to make it through alive.
Road Kill – Book 5 of the superb Tom Rollins action thriller series. Perfect for fans of Lee Child, Jason Kasper & David Archer.
HAPPY PUBLICATION DAY PAUL!
My second outing with Paul but my first with Tom and well quite frankly… I LOVED IT!!
Guys! I have found my new Reacher. As you may remember me and Jack went on a break after book 13 due to his actions in Hope and Despair and I always vowed to go back to him, and I still will, but for now I have Tom *sigh*
Ok, so Tom was a bit like Jack, and got involved in something that wasn’t anything to do with him but this time I felt it was justified! A girl was in trouble!
This is book 5 in a series, which before reading I had no idea but it works perfectly. I don’t feel like I am missing anything, for all I knew this could be book 1! However, I now have 4 books to get acquainted with Tom a bit more.
He is the guy you want in your corner, in your life or just fighting for you. He doesn’t back down and he can handle himself. I mean Tom vs 8 guys…well there was only 1 winner…literally.
I love Paul’s writing style. I love the high octane thrill of it. I was turning the pages so quickly in the last 5 chapters because things were INTENSE! I mean we all knew there would be only one outcome but it was how the frick would we get there! Paul sucks you in with the intrigue and intensity straight away and it doesn’t relent. But at the same time, it loses none of the passion, the thrill and at no time was I bored. It has everything I want in an action thriller. It is engaging and the plotline, although we have seen it before, was done in a way that I found refreshing as if I was reading it for tge first time.
I am now going to be fighting anyone for the next book in this series or by Paul, whichever is first. Just loved this adventure!
Until next time xxx
