Before I crack on with my review, just a quick note. This is not being released as a standalone novella, it will be added as a bonus story to The Chosen Ones. You should receive an option to update your book if you have previously bought it in order to read it (so I am led to believe) and if you have not bought the series yet, well why haven’t you but also, you will get this bonus story!
Alternatively, from today (15th December) on her YouTube page, she is going to be reading a chapter a day of EndGame for everyone to enjoy. The link is here for her YouTube page. From what I have seen, you are in for a treat!!!
I can not believe this is the end. I do not want to believe it is the end. A small part of me does not think it is the end.
This addition to the Robyn Carter series is only short but it packs a punch. The main thing it does is (semi) answer the main mystery surrounding Davis.
In 42 short pages, we have a case to solve and personal lives to sort and I wasn’t ready for any of it. I wish it was more pages just so that it wasn’t over already. Well in my mind its not over, it will never be over!
I don’t know what to say. It was a fab addition to the series. I got to see Robyn and the team, got to see Ross and my favourite Tom. The book takes place just days after the end of The Chosen Ones and Robyn isn’t in a good place. I mean would you be?!
I must say it was good to closure on the team, but I want more. But it isn’t all about me isnt it.
Carol wrote the story we wanted and none of this feels forced. It was written with love and care and you can feel the tenderness with the characters. Everyone was written exactly where they were left and still spiky in places. It is a novella the fans have needed and I think this closure for everyone, Carol and Robyn.
It may be the end of Robyn as she sets off into the sunset (still hoping we have more) but we have Kate Young to get excited for and I am hoping Natalie Ward may come back too.
I love this series, I loved this farewell.
Im not crying, youre crying.
Until next time xxx
My thanks to Carol for gifting me a copy of the novella in return for my honest and unbiased review
