Caleb is perfect in every way, almost too perfect and Gwen has never felt so happy. He is hers and she is his. Life can't get much better and their love can't get any stronger. That is until mistakes are made and their world comes crumbling down. She's left alone with no money, no home and a growing person invading her stomach. How will she survive?
Forced to leave culinary school, the job she needs and the home they made together. Gwen finds a knight in the most unlikely source. Caleb's brother Nathan. A complex man with a phobia she doesn't understand and mannerisms that aren't of this day and age, will she be able to melt his seemingly frozen heart and become his friend? Or will he forever push her away and wallow in his loneliness and self loathing?
First book review (eek nervous much) the A.E Murphy Broken series…
So I started this series Boxing Day and finished it beginning of January. I had put it off because I just didn’t connect with the book cover and I read the blurb but still wasn’t sure about it. I got the first book free a couple of years ago on Amazon and I finally took the plunge with it…….
Well, what a little gem I found!!!
Gwen and Caleb the love story of the ages so you are lead to believe, living all their moments from the first date, first kiss and well and you know the rest, until one day it all changes. Gwen has to adjust to a new life and this is her story. In comes Nathan with his baggage leaving you never quite knowing where they will end up and what revelations will be made. I must admit I ugly cried a few times when reading this and a few times I really wanted to slap Gwen, she was just naive and did not ask the most simple and obvious of questions in general, felt like I was literally facepalming a?♀️ lot of the time.
However, the distrust, the emotion, the guilt, the lust and love was something I felt that I could connect with at every step of the way it felt realistic. I did think the story should have finished with the second book as originally planned but the feeling of redemption and everything wasn’t what it seemed played in book three to tidy everything up.
Next time I don’t think I will let a book cover put me off!!

The honeymoon period for Nathan and Gwen is over, their babies growing and their careers running full steam ahead. Some would say communication is the key to a successful relationship but for a man that never had to communicate and a woman that needs it too much, how will they succeed? The challenges they face, the little free time they have and the call of their children cause problems in their efforts. Is their love strong enough to face it all or will circumstance and outside forces tear them apart?
