So this week you will be hearing a lot from me shouting about my author Janet Nissenson and I hope you will send a lot of blogging love her way! The main focus will be on her new series called “Bachelor” but she has a vast back catalogue we will have a little look at some of her other books. I will also be hosting some giveaways too, where you could win a gift card for Amazon and copies of Book 1 and 2 of the Bachelor series too! Plus each day, I will be sharing some of the Q&A that Janet kindly did so you can get to know her a bit better!
Incase you missed my post, about Fostering an author, here is a link here.
So where shall we start this week…..thinking….thinking…..thinking….
I know! Let’s start at beginning, the first book in the series of the Bachelor..
The Girl of His Dreams!
Well hello there!………SORRY slightly distracted by the hot man in the suit! Okay, so I want to tell you more about the book!
He was convinced he’d be a bachelor for life. And then he met the girl of his dreams.
Jordan Reeves has fully embraced the carefree, uncomplicated bachelor life, figuring that the poor example he’d been provided by his parents of so-called marital bliss was reason enough to remain single. He’s more than content to date one woman after another and never even consider settling down, especially since the only female who’s ever seriously caught his attention belongs to another man.
But during a vacation in Hawaii, Jordan unexpectedly meets a woman who could very easily change his mind about the joys of bachelorhood. Aubrey Larson is young, gorgeous, fun-loving, and has a wicked sense of humor to match his own. She’s also a dead ringer for the woman Jordan’s had an admitted crush on for the past few years, enough to be mistaken for her twin.
Aubrey recognizes the handsome Doctor Reeves as a player of epic proportions the first time they meet, but even her usual disdain for that type of male can’t diminish the overwhelming attraction she feels for him. But as their relationship deepens, Aubrey has no idea that becoming involved with Jordan will lead to a startling discovery about her own past, and cause her to question his true feelings for her.
It has a rating of 4.43 on Goodreads! What has been said so far by the readers
Goodreads reviewer “What a fun, sexy, romantic, and lighthearted tale!“
Goodreads reviewer “One of the things I love most about books by Janet Nissenson is how sweet her stories are. The Girl of His Dreams was full of swoons, humor, and romantic love.“
Goodreads reviewer “I love the way Janet Nissenson write’s her books, they are so descriptive that it plays out like a movie in my mind as I read and the characters are like old friends you haven’t seen in a while, but you fall right back where you left off“
I can not wait to read this myself! So I shall leave you today with a little bit of a teaser from the book and introduction to Janet (and maybe
What does a typical day in your life look like?
Wake around 7am, have coffee and light breakfast, walk the dog, exercise (either a run, bike ride, or a yoga class), answer emails and do social media marketing for my books, work on writing, editing, or promoting, do housework and run errands, watch a little TV, and if I’m very lucky read a
book
If you had to write yourself as a character in your book, would you be a heroine or villainous? What would you be like and what would you name yourself?
I would definitely be a heroine! While a villain can definitely have more fun and be more interesting, I just don’t see myself in that role. I’d probably be fairly serious and organized, and I might name myself something classic like Emma or Rebecca.
Which of your books would you love to see on the big screen, and who would you cast?
I think seeing The Girl of His Dreams on the big screen would be awesome because it’s something of a romantic comedy and part of it takes place in Hawaii. I would cast Tom Ellis (Lucifer) as Jordan and Kate Upton or Doutzen Kroes as Aubrey.
Could this be a potential lineup – Anyone got Hollywood on the phone???
Until tomorrow xx
