Every time I start these posts, I always get a song stuck in my head…can you even guess which one! lol Voting was interesting this week! I love seeing how the votes lie and here are the results….did anything get the dreaded nil points?? Was there a clear winner?

There was a shock but there was a clear winner and there was no love for one book – oops

It means I am keeping….

3 completely different books, I see Sparks is not getting a lot of love! lol.

Well, what do we have here for this week?

Should I Stay Or Should I Go? 19th October 2019 #Goodreadsclearout #ShouldIStay #ShouldIGoThe Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Add to Goodreads

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.

But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway - a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them, this is a game in which only one can be left standing, and the circus is but the stage for a remarkable battle of imagination and will. Despite themselves, however, Celia and Marco tumble headfirst into love - a deep, magical love that makes the lights flicker and the room grow warm whenever they so much as brush hands.

True love or not, the game must play out, and the fates of everyone involved, from the cast of extraordinary circus performers to the patrons, hang in the balance, suspended as precariously as the daring acrobats overhead.

Written in rich, seductive prose, this spell-casting novel is a feast for the senses and the heart.

  1. Omg where do I start?! I love Love, Rosie (book and movie!) Can you keep a Secret is one of my favourite chick-lit novels – classic Kinsella that I will return to again and again for the smiles. And The Shining – one of King’s best!

  2. Karen

I’m glad you’re keeping the Cornwell, that was the one I voted for last week – I quite enjoyed that when I read it years ago. Have voted this time – but not for the one I’ve read!🤣

  3. Voted for The Shining. Oddly enough I’m planning to re-read it (after 15 yrs) so I can compare the film to it. I mean it’s one of King’s most famous and it’s not quite as long as some others 😉

Stay and have a chat :)
