The Love Shack by Jane Costello
Life's great when you're 29 years old with a gorgeous girlfriend and fulfilling job. Until you have to move back in with your mum . . .
Dan and Gemma have found their dream first home, but the asking price is the stuff of nightmares. The only way they'll ever save enough for the deposit is by moving in, rent-free, with Dan's mum.
It's a desperate solution, but it's only for six months. And Gemma's determined to make it work, no matter how bad things get.
But between Dan's mum's kitchen karaoke, her constant innuendos, irrepressible argumentative streak and - worst of all - her ham and pineapple curries, life back at home would test the patience of two saints. Which Dan and Gemma most definitely are not.
Then, as they're trying to convince themselves it will all be worth it, Gemma's past comes back to haunt her. And suddenly the foundations of their entire relationship are shaken to their core…
I thought this sounded quite cute and wondered if it should have a chance!
Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella
When twenty-eight-year-old Lexi Smart wakes up in a London hospital, she’s in for a big surprise. Her teeth are perfect. Her body is toned. Her handbag is Vuitton. Having survived a car accident—in a Mercedes no less—Lexi has lost a big chunk of her memory, three years to be exact, and she’s about to find out just how much things have changed.
Somehow Lexi went from a twenty-five-year-old working girl to a corporate big shot with a sleek new loft, a personal assistant, a carb-free diet, and a set of glamorous new friends. And who is this gorgeous husband—who also happens to be a multimillionaire? With her mind still stuck three years in reverse, Lexi greets this brave new world determined to be the person she…well, seems to be. That is, until an adorably disheveled architect drops the biggest bombshell of all.
Suddenly Lexi is scrambling to catch her balance. Her new life, it turns out, comes complete with secrets, schemes, and intrigue. How on earth did all this happen? Will she ever remember? And what will happen when she does?
With the same wicked humor and delicious charm that have won her millions of devoted fans, Sophie Kinsella, author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Shopaholic & Baby, returns with an irresistible new novel and a fresh new heroine who finds herself in a life-changing and utterly hilarious predicament…
Sophie Kinsella never normally lets me down with some cute little stories and this one seems to be a winner
Hannibal: Enemy of Rome (Hannibal #1) by Ben Kane
The first in a brilliant new series set during the Second Punic War, from the bestselling author of The Forgotten Legion Chronicles. In the First Punic War, the Roman legions defeated and humiliated Carthage, their only serious rival for power in the Mediterranean. Now a brilliant young Carthaginian general, called Hannibal, is out for revenge. Caught up in the maelstrom are two young boys, Hanno, the son of a distinguished soldier and confidant of Hannibal, and Quintus, son of a Roman equestrian and landowner. A disastrous adventure will see Hanno sold into slavery and bought by Quintus's father. Although an unexpected friendship springs up between the two boys -- and with Quintus's sister, Aurelia -- the fortunes of the two warring empires once again separates them. They find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict and an alliance forged through slavery will be played out to its stunning conclusion in battle.
Oooh another one historical one and this time about Hannibal and the Romans! Surely this has to stay!

YOU’VE BEEN HERE BEFORE….
A wonderful new store has opened in the little town of Castle Rock, Maine. Whatever your heart’s secret desire—sexual pleasure, wealth, power, or even more precious things—it’s for sale. And even though every item has a nerve-shattering price, the owner is always ready to make a bargain.
In this chilling novel by one of the most potent imaginations of our time, evil is on a shopping spree and out to scare you witless.
It is another King offering and I am intrigued by the store that gives me whatever my heart desires……

Another Kinsella winner by the sounds of things and rated higher than her other book. I also have a feeling I may have read this back in the day but can’t remember!
Summer Secrets by Jane Green
With Summer Secrets Jane Green has reached an even deeper level of emotion that will stay with you long after you turn the last page...
Living in London in her twenties, Cat had it all--a great job and wonderful friends. But with the good came the bad--a party every night, wreaking havoc, and blackouts. When she discovers the father she never knew she had, living in Nantucket, it sends her into a spiral, costing her the new family she had desperately craved. The drinking had always been a constant evil in Cat's life. Now in her late thirties, sober, divorced from the love of her life, and trying to make up for lost time with her teenage daughter, she's ready to make amends to those she has hurt. But facing the past and the unthinkable act she committed one summer night could change the course of her life forever.
I do not even remember adding this to my TBR list back in 2015, bit it does sound good and I am glad I have added it.
So over to you! Who Stays and Who goes?
Until next time xxx

It’s been really split this week so far! No one seems to want to keep Jane Green! lol
likeherdingcatsblog says
Really tough choice this week cos I love Jane Costello and Jane Green and I’m pretty sure Kinsella will be brilliant. For me I’d get rid of the historical one but that’s my personal preference
Zoé says
lol i am thinking of keeping Jane Green and Kinsella xx

I have no experience with any of these writers, so I’m afraid I can’t help you out this time. By the way, the premise of the Jane Costello one seems a bit odd to me. I mean, six months to save up enough for the deposit… won’t the house be sold to someone else by then? And if not, then the house is overpriced or there’s something really wrong with it that is keeping buyers away! (Oh, do you think I watch too much Property Brothers shows? Yes, I do!) Sorry, but that immediately turned me off to that one.
Zoé says
ha haha ha love it!!! I didn’t think of that!
Rae Reads says
You have to keep Can You Keep a Secret? It’s one of my favourite books! If you get rid I won’t be happy, just saying ??
Zoé says
I dont want that gif!! I will keep lol
Rachel Gilbey says
Keep the Jane Costello and the Sophie Kinsella’s all three of these I have really enjoyed in the past.
Jane Green I have enjoyed in the past, but given at one point her books were having different titles in UK / US – I have severely lost track which ones I have read!!
Zoé says
Kinsella seems to be a favourite! I love the sound of the Jane Green one, don’t know why authors do that! So annoying!
Hayley at RatherTooFondofBooks says
Good choice to keep A Time to Kill from last week, I hope you enjoy reading it. I love Sophie Kinsella’s books so am tempted to tell you to keep all of hers. I have a real soft spot for Remember Me – I couldn’t read for a long time after my mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer and a friend of hers lent me a copy of this book and told me it would be the tonic I needed, and it absolutely was. It was the first Sophie Kinsella I ever read (I went on to read all of her other books!) and I’ve since re-read it and I just love it. So if you keep nothing else this week, keep this one! 🙂
Zoé says
Ah lovely! I have to kepe it now after that back story, how could I not! It is saved! Big hugs <3 x
nsfordwriter says
Have not read any of these but if I had to chuck at least one, the Costello sounds the least promising 🙂
Zoé says
She’s gone ! Lol
Shell Baker says
Keep the Sophie Kinsella books they are both ace x
Zoé says
That seems to be a winner x
