So I wanted to introduce more variety to my blog. I do my lap wrap and when I remember the WWW on Wednesday. But I wanted to do some clear out on my Goodreads shelves with audience participation required! Plus a couple of other new features will be introduced too!
So, I saw this on someone elses blog, really sorry I can not link it back because I can not remember where I saw it *doh* and when I search back do you think I can find it! So if this looks familiar please let me know so I can link it back!
So, the point of this! Well I have over 2,000 books on my Goodreads shelves (not including my read books!) and I wanted to clear this down because let us be honest, I probably will not read them all….so each week until the number is manageable I will be posting 6 books from my to be read shelves and out of the 6, 3 will be knocked off by a public vote! If no vote then I will have to make the decision! Eeek!!
I am going to do this by sorting my shelves, by date added and with the oldest first, got to be fair and get rid of some strafes. Then the first 6 books which are not in the “Read” shelf will be listed here. I promise no cheating! And if you want to join in please do! Be nice to help someone out with their shelves!
Although looking at this week’s choice it is not a good week to start as I think I might be keeping them all……
Well here goes….
Dark Tracks by Philippa Gregory. (Order of Darkness Book 4)
Blurb
Luca and Isolde continue investigating for the Order of Darkness in the fourth book in the Order of Darkness series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Philippa Gregory.
Not quite sure how I have somehow added book 4 before the first 3 books!! However, it is Philippa Gregory and I want to read the first 3.
Verdict: KEEP
Personal by Lee Child. (Jack Reacher Book 19)
Blurb
Jack Reacher walks alone. Once a go-to hard man in the US military police, now he’s a drifter of no fixed abode. But the army tracks him down. Because someone has taken a long-range shot at the French president.
Only one man could have done it. And Reacher is the one man who can find him.
This new heartstopping, nailbiting book in Lee Child’s number-one bestselling series takes Reacher across the Atlantic to Paris – and then to London. The stakes have never been higher – because this time, it’s personal.
I am afriad this is another one where this no say in the matter oops! I am invested in this series, I know we are on a break at the moment but I AM invested in Jack

The Mirror and the Light by Hilary Mantel. (Thomas Cromwell Trilogy Book 3)
Blurb
Sequel to both Wolf Hall and Bring up the Bodies, and concludes the story of Thomas Cromwell.
So not a lot of information on this one! However, dare I say it, I have the first two books in the series and it is set in the Tudor Period I can not let this one go at all never ever!
Verdict: KEEP
A Dream of Spring by George R.R. Martin. (A Song of Ice and Fire Book 7)

Verdict: KEEP
The Cellar by Richard Laymon. (Beast House Chronicles Book 1)
Blurb
They call it Beast House. Tourists flock to see it, lured by its history of butchery and sadistic sexual enslavement. They enter, armed with cameras and camcorders, but many never return. The men are slaughtered quickly. The women have a far worse fate in store. But the worst part of the house is what lies beneath it. Behind the cellar door, down the creaky steps, waits a creature of pure evil. At night, when the house is dark and all is quiet… the beast comes out.
Awakened by an early-morning phone call, Donna found out that her ex-husband, Roy, has been released from prison. She immediately dragged her twelve-year-old daughter out of bed and together they hit the road – fast. The last she wants is for Roy to get his hands on them again. But in fleeing one danger, Donna and her daughter are unknowingly heading straight towards another. They’re heading towards Beast House.
Now I am pretty sure I have read this back in the day! However, I can not remember if I finished the trilogy and I am on a mission to make sure I read all of Richard Laymon’s books because as must as they are gory they are thrilling and I never tire of them, so sorry folks!
Verdict: KEEP

Okay, you’re not very good at this ? Though I’d totally keep them all too, which is why I don’t even bother to try and clean my shelves ? (Also: yes please no more dead Starks) I think I saw Umut do something similar, maybe she’s where you got the idea?
Zoé says
Next week I’m better it’s all about audience participation then! I am trying to clear them I have about 2400 on there! And that’s only what I’ve logged lol. Oh maybe! I know I have seen it ?I didn’t want anyone to think I was stealing their idea x

This looks like a fun feature! All the books on my Goodreads TBR are books I already own so it would pain me to do this and have to face getting rid of books… I probably need to do it though as my bookcases are overflowing!
Zoé says
Next week is audience participation lol so I expect help! Yeah I have books from all over so need to try and condense it down a bit
