So this week has been a manic one! I had some awful news at the weekend, an old friend of mine lost her battle with cancer after 2 years in remission, so it has been a tough time, not really sunk in and doesn’t feel real. I am not telling you all for sympathy, I think in a way it is my way of trying to deal with it. However, I got my support system back as the boy finally came home – phew! It has been a long six months, but I now have a break as the little lady will not let him out of her sight!
My week has been a bit of a blur! Can’t really remember what has happened….depending on who you ask they will tell you it’s old age! What does seem to be apparent….my week has blown up with books!!! I am a bit scared to post this! Eeeeekkkkkkkk
So, my book post and emails….
Here are some books I got from Amazon ( free/Kindle Unlimited)
I absolutely adored Stalking Jack the Ripper and the audiobook and as soon as I had finished it I used my credit on getting this book Hunting Prince Dracula! LOVE IT
This is my downfall for the week………..NetGalley….going back on another ban.
This is a combination of books I was invited to read, blog tours, historic clicking being approved and an auto approval that made me get a bit excited!! I am so doing the 20 books for summer challenge so I can try and clear some of these down!!
I am not signing up for any blog tours at the moment so that I can get my ARCS, requests and my own books read and so far I am doing ok!! We shall see! Plus I have a lot of buddy reading to catch up on!! <3
What plans do you have this Bank Holiday weekend? I am off to see a mortgage advisor (internal squealing) and the usual swimming lessons. My friend is down on Sunday with her husband. And Monday is exclusively a family day to try and make up for some of the 6 months the boy has been gone! Obviously reading too!
Until next time xxx

I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. I know something of what you’re going through as I lost my best friend to cancer a few years ago so if you ever need someone to talk to, please message me anytime. It takes time for it to sink in, and grief takes as long as it takes. Be gentle on yourself. Sending you hugs and love. xx
