Cellist, Luka, has moved to Bristol to start a new job and recover from the betrayal of finding his best friend and his girlfriend in bed together. He doesn’t plan on the emotional thunderstorm that meeting his next-door neighbour Jess causes.
Jess had everything, a man she loved, friends she adored and then the world crashed around her. Depression came from nowhere and slowly started ripping her life away. Now she lives a lonely, sad life but the music which she keeps hearing next door is waking her up and she doesn’t know why.
Join Luka and Jess as they discover life after heartache, how to forgive and how to live and love again.
*Entrapped is an 18+ Contemporary Romance with several graphic sex scenes*
Reading this book and about depression was not an easy feat for someone who suffers from it. I have felt the depths that Jess goes through and so I felt for her straight away and when the so-called love of her life just leaves her because of negative energy well he needed a slap right away!
I love stories of two people trying to find love again and learning to trust again. I do get frustrated when they break down their communication and time is wasted. However it gives both characters time to re-learn things about themselves and it allows other characters to be shining stars, like Mark.
Mark is one character I really did love. I know what he did is pretty much unforgivable, but he was sucked in and was such a redeeming character I adored him.
Luka, well hello to you! The leading man in this story. The leading cellist, and the leading man in Jess’ life. He has had his own heartbreak and thrown himself into his music and practising for the concerts, not anticipating how much his music would affect Jess never door (whose on her knees in a near full on orgasm!!)
Okay into a brief mention on the sex scenes. They were tastefully done, however, this was one girl who was very sexually aware and confident in what she was doing. I thought this was refreshing, we didn’t have a shy naive submission but a woman despite everything was practising sure of what she wanted and more importantly who she wanted.
When I picked up this book after a crazy day in the theme park, I was exhausted and thought only a couple of chapters….well a couple of hours later I had finished it and I did not even realise how much time had gone! I loved the story, I loved the characters, I loved the writing! It was emotional, it was moving and it was loving.
What is even more exciting to find out is that this is first in the series! I can not wait to see where this series goes, and if we get to head back to see Luka and Jess, or if we get the chance to see more with Mark or Katie, or Luka’s brothers or friends! Aaah endless possibilities!!
