Hosted by Lipsy Lost and Found, my Wednesday post gives you a taste of what I’m reading this week. A similar meme is run by Taking on a World of Words.
I have not done this type of post since June 2019!! So I thought I might see and do it again especially as I have not done a weekly lap wrap for a while either! So I am going to merge the two! I am just going to update what I have done this year!
What have I bought this month?
I am currently listening to The Tea Planter’s Daughter and I really do not know where it has been all my life! I love this! On the darker side is A Wash Of Black by Chris, dark and twisty so far!
What did I recently finish?
This is everything I have read so far this year! 2 for tours and 2 for author features coming soon. The others have been my own choice – dun dun dun
What will I be reading next?
Detective Dean Matheson has returned to his hometown to begin his new job and put the traumatic events of his past behind him – but his fresh start won’t last long when the local area is hit by a series of strange disappearances and twisted killings …
A nameless girl badly beaten and dumped in front of the mysterious new church. A shocking murder scene discovered in the apartment over the diner. A child missing without a trace.
These are the crimes Dean Matheson is confronted with in his first week as detective. Are they isolated events, or is something altogether more disturbing happening in Maple Valley now that Dean’s back in town?
Can not wait for this ARC and it’s all part of Wendy’s feature starting soon!
What books have landed on my lap?
Ok, so went on a spending spree BUT (yes there is a but!) some of these are for my blogging year and some I couldn’t resist! NOT ONE of these are from NetGalley!!
What have you read/ will be reading this week?
Until next time xxx

I am sooo tempted by Lilliana Jones, just the title makes me want to read it (and also that I like the author). I’ve actually been looking for a punny book for the Popsugar challenge so yay.
Zoé says
Isn’t he a great author! I am doing a feature on him in Feb. So reading all his books that I haven’t. Read. Ooh what is the Popsugar challenge?
alilovesbooks says
Popsugar is an individual reading challenge. Runs over a year and there are 50 ish prompts you have to find a book for, things like a book with a pun in the title, or a western etc. It’s pretty good for pushing you out of your comfort zone.
Zoé says
Ooh I will have to check it out. I love being pushed out my comfort zone! How are you doing so far? Lol

I’ve bought The First Time LP Died recently must get round to reading it! Loving those Soho Noir covers.
Zoé says
I need to pick it up too It does sound so amazing! Oh the Soho covers are just beautiful and the books are brilliant! x
Kelly says
Oh good I’m not the only one who’d ended up with a lot of books on her lap despite a certain resolution to buy fewer books this year ??
Zoé says
?? did you ban yourself then? I just keep seeing loads of deals and be like oh go on then ?
Kelly says
I didn’t ban, cos I knew I’d never keep that up ? So I did a kind of light ban thing, but even that hasn’t worked ? Soooo many deals!! (And zero self-restraint ?)
Zoé says
That’s the problem it’s the deals!!! Lol ? I am the same as you although I stayed well away from NG!!!
Kelly says
Me too, that’s something at least ? But it’s looking to be a busy year at work, from March to July at least, and I don’t want to overexert myself or get myself into a position where I HAVE to review even if I don’t feel like it or I’m too tired, so I’ve decided to keep my obligations to a minimum: NG and blog tours only when it’s a book I’m desperate to read. We’ll see how it goes ?
Zoé says
I love not having loads of blog tours to read. I’ve read all my jan and some of my feb ones already. And just been reading loads for me. I’ve read 9 books this year and I have found it so relaxing in a way. Lol

I’ve also been avoiding NetGalley so well done us! ?

I think we deserve a treat ?
