Life in Justice-Peace just got a little more interesting.
Casey Allen has a green thumb. Debbie is in band. Max is the high school football star. Parker is a notorious serial-dater, and Nicholas Finch is a science whiz turned prankster. When a group assignment forces them to collaborate, these five discover they possess a talent far greater than their high school personas.
Casey can call the plants, growing and twisting them to her satisfaction. Nicholas Finch commands the animals, and Parker Watts can summon the fiercest of storms. Max Kinkaid has dominion over the four winds, and Debbie Fairfield can rock your world- literally.
Are Casey and her friends members of an evolved species of human or the legacies of the gods? Hunted by greedy scientists, these clever teens combine their extraordinary gifts to gain their freedom...but it will cost them the only lives they’ve ever known.
This!! This is the exact type of book I love. A YA with a bit of fantasy, drama and excitement. It reminds me of books like Insurgent by Veronica Roth and The Unadjusted by Marisa Noelle. Just fantastic.
It is a short book and so I flew through it way way too quickly!! I mean I want more and I want it now! With a novella, you need to hook the reader in quickly and get you to warm up to these people, and Ashley did that so well. I would just love a full-length novel with them all. Plus you don’t have the details and everything moves so fast. I mean I would love more detail, more words, just more, please!
I loved everyone… Well, the main group! Casey was just so damn adorable. I don’t have a bad word to say about this book. For me, it worked. The characters were true to life, with rash decisions, and teenage angst. Just everything I expected and it was perfect for me!
I just can’t wait for the next book! I need to be back with them all. I need to know how their lives are, and who the next threat will be! It sounds like it might be closer than we think!
Ooh, I am so excited to see where this series goes! And I love Ashley’s writing! She sucked me in so quickly and has left me demanding more! Just awesome!
97 pages of action and excitement! What more could you want?
Until the next time xxx

I enjoy a good novella, but like you, I am left wanting more. Wonderful review.
