Oh my god what a read! I was literally shouting at the book so many times at this!! I can’t believe this story! I will say, I found it hard to believe that Jake was 10 years old just from some of his actions and I felt he was more 14 / 15 years old.
Aside from that it was such a rush of a ride. It was so intense. I struggled to understand how parents could treat a child so poorly. It really made me so sad. I am just glad Carly was around. I must admit I was worried when she found a new love, I had my fingers crossed so tightly that he wasn’t going to screw Carly over….I won’t tell you what happens but jeez, squeaky bum time!
Everything about this book had me hooked. I was reading this every opportunity I got, it was an addiction, I was thinking about this book until I could get back to it. It was wild, and probably a bit out there for some but I thought it was fricking awesome.
Theo’s writing is just getting stronger and stronger with each book, and this book had the feels of The Doppelganger by Cole Baxter and I wondered if it was going to go down a similar route – instead this was much darker and a lot sadder.
Theo is just blowing my mind with book after book lately, and I can’t wait for the next one.
Until the next time xxx
