Aw I loved this book. What an awesome summery book, it gave me the feels of One day by David Nicholls. We see Poppy and Alex not in one day but over the summertime on their trips.
Ok, so it may not be a fresh storyline but it is a fresh story. I adored Poppy for who she was, insecurities and all. I want my own Alex, he was just perfect. The way in which these two characters are written felt very real to me. Nothing was flashy and over the top, the entire book felt like it could happen in real life. It was such a fun holiday to have with these two.
I took my time reading this book because I really didn’t want it to end. I loved the places they visited and could picture where they were even though I haven’t been there before. Plus the way in which Tuscany was described makes me want to jump on a plane and not look back.
Of course, I cried in this book, too many are doing it lately! It’s always the fallouts that get me, especially when you can see two people that are perfect for each other. There shouldn’t be a fallout grrr. I adored this book, it is an easy read and it is such a fun adventure.
Whenever I think of this book I get the warm fuzzy feels. I loved that yes it’s a trope we all know, it was still an adventure I loved. I knew from the first page that this would be a book I could lose myself in and enjoy the story in front of me. The only sad thing is it had to end!!!
Until the next time xxx
