Happy Saturday!
What an interesting week, I have week where no one voted chuck them all! There is a very clear winner, gutted that one book didn’t make the cut. And previous winners have been curbed!
So I am saving this week….
I wonder if what will be saved this week. I am gutted about Poirot going, but it is what it is.
This week I have included books not only that I own but ones I want to buy – so the voting could get interesting.
Which 2 do you save?
Rebellion (The 100, #4) by Kass Morgan
Goodreads
There’s no such thing as peace on earth.
It's been a month since the new dropships landed and the rest of the Colonists joined the hundred on the ground. The teens, once branded juvenile delinquents, are now leaders among their people. It should be a time for celebration and togetherness, but a new threat appears before long: a fanatical cult determined to grow its ranks and “heal” the war-ravaged planet…by eliminating everyone else on it.
After scores of their friends are captured, Clarke sets off to retrieve them, certain that she can come to an understanding with these strangers. Bellamy has a different plan; he won’t let anything—or anyone—get in the way of saving the people he loves. Meanwhile, in captivity and scared for their lives, Glass falls under the spell of the cult’s magnetic message, and Wells has to learn how to lead again. Unless the rescue party arrives soon, the teen captives will face a fate more terrifying than anything they could imagine.
If the hundred ever want to call this dangerous planet home, they’ll need to put aside their differences and fight to protect themselves and their world.
Lost Boy by Christina Henry
Goodreads
There is one version of my story that everyone knows. And then there is the truth. This is how it happened. How I went from being Peter Pan’s first—and favorite—lost boy to his greatest enemy.
Peter brought me to his island because there were no rules and no grownups to make us mind.
He brought boys from the Other Place to join in the fun, but Peter's idea of fun is sharper than a pirate’s sword.
Because it’s never been all fun and games on the island. Our neighbors are pirates and monsters.
Our toys are knife and stick and rock—the kinds of playthings that bite.
Peter promised we would all be young and happy forever.

Goodreads
Also by this author: The Not So Secret Emails Of Coco Pinchard, Coco Pinchard's Big Fat Tipsy Wedding, Coco Pinchard, The Consequences Of Love And Sex, A Very Coco Christmas, Coco Pinchard's Must-Have Toy Story
Her eyes are wide open. Her lips parted as if to speak. Her dead body frozen in the ice…She is not the only one.
When a young boy discovers the body of a woman beneath a thick sheet of ice in a South London park, Detective Erika Foster is called in to lead the murder investigation.
The victim, a beautiful young socialite, appeared to have the perfect life. Yet when Erika begins to dig deeper, she starts to connect the dots between the murder and the killings of three prostitutes, all found strangled, hands bound and dumped in water around London.
What dark secrets is the girl in the ice hiding?
As Erika inches closer to uncovering the truth, the killer is closing in on Erika.
The last investigation Erika led went badly wrong… resulting in the death of her husband. With her career hanging by a thread, Erika must now battle her own personal demons as well as a killer more deadly than any she’s faced before. But will she get to him before he strikes again?
In Cold Blood by Truman Capote
Goodreads
On November 15, 1959, in the small town of Holcomb, Kansas, four members of the Clutter family were viciously murdered by blasts from a shotgun held only inches from their faces.
There were almost no clues and no apparent motive for the crime.
Five years later, two men were hanged for the crime on a gallows in the Kansas State Penitentiary.
In Cold Blood is the story of the lives and death of these six people.
The reader is mesmerized with suspense and astonishing empathy as Truman Capote reconstructs the murder and the investigation that led to the capture, trial, and execution of the killers.
It is a powerful story of inexorable crime and punishment, even more powerful for underscoring the awareness that it is reality, not literature.
It is arguably Truman Capote's masterpiece.
I See You by Clare Mackintosh
Goodreads
The twisty, gripping number one bestseller from Richard and Judy Book Club winner Clare Mackintosh, author of I Let You Go.
Winner of the Richard and Judy Summer Book Club 2017
When Zoe Walker sees her photo in the classifieds section of a London newspaper, she is determined to find out why it's there.
There's no explanation: just a grainy image, a website address and a phone number.
She takes it home to her family, who are convinced it's just someone who looks like Zoe. But the next day the advert shows a photo of a different woman, and another the day after that.
Is it a mistake? A coincidence? Or is someone keeping track of every move they make...
If you like Shari Lapena, Paula Hawkins, Rachel Abbott, B A Paris, Fiona Barton, Ruth Ware and CL Taylor, you'll love this gripping psychological thriller.
The Chosen (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #15) by J.R. Ward
Goodreads
A scorching forbidden love threatens to tear a rift through the Black Dagger Brotherhood in J. R. Ward's newest novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling series.
Xcor, leader of the Band of Bastards, convicted of treason against the Blind King, is facing a brutal interrogation and torturous death at the hands of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.
Yet after a life marked by cruelty and evil deeds, he accepts his soldier's fate, his sole regret the loss of a sacred female who was never his: the Chosen Layla.
Layla alone knows the truth that will save Xcor's life.
But revealing his sacrifice and his hidden heritage will expose them both and destroy everything Layla holds dear - even her role of mother to her precious young.
Torn between love and loyalty, she must summon the courage to stand up against the only family she has for the only man she will ever love.
Yet even if Xcor is somehow granted a reprieve, he and Layla would have to confront a graver challenge: bridging the chasm that divides their worlds without paving the way for a future of even greater war, desolation and death.
As a dangerous old enemy returns to Caldwell, and the identity of a new deity is revealed, nothing is certain or safe in the world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, not even true love . . . or destinies that have long seemed set in stone.
Remember 2 may or may not stay, how do you choose?
