First one of May and I am in absolute quandary with the results because 1. wow what a lot of voting – thank you! And also, it is so tight with the voting! I know I should only be keeping 2 but with this voting, it makes my head a bit confuddled with what to do!!
I am going to think about it while I type up this post! So I am still thinking what I will save – did not expect this level of voting – thank you!!! I have sent this out to the veto committee to decide – that way it’s out of my hands 😉 …
Ok it has been decided that the following will be saved…
Well here are the ones that are staying this week :-
Back with some more familiar books for you, here we go, so which 2 are being saved!
Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane
Goodreads
The year is 1954.
U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels and his new -partner, Chuck Aule, have come to Shutter Island, home of Ashecliffe Hospital for the Criminally Insane, to investigate the disappearance of a patient.
Multiple-murderess Rachel Solando is loose somewhere on this barren island, despite having been kept in a locked cell under constant surveillance.
As a killer hurricane bears relentlessly down on them, a strange case takes on even darker, more sinister shades--with hints of radical experimentation, horrifying surgeries, and lethal countermoves made in the cause of a covert shadow war.
No one is going to escape Shutter Island unscathed, because nothing at Ashecliffe Hospital is remotely what it seems.
