I don’t care if this is aimed at kids / young adults I fricking LOVED this book.
The audiobook was immense! I wasn’t sure of the narrator at first, but when the book got going he was awesome! I loved the different accents for the characters, he made the book come alive. Plus, because of him, I am a little bit in love with Skulduggery, wrong I know!
What an adventure this was! I love that this is book 1 and book 15 has just come out! More adventures with Stephanie and Skulduggery are to be had.
I adored everything about this book and as I say the audiobook brought it to life. It was like a mini-drama production, the music, the voices, the action. It was just amazing!
It also helps that the storyline behind it was intriguing. It was action-packed, and the mythology and paranormal behind it. Plus the wittiness of the book was brilliant and had me chuckling. So many quotes I could use, just things like Skulduggery crossing his heart and hoping to die, was just brilliant. I was cracking up!
I can’t wait for the next book and the next adventure this didn’t feel like a book, it was so much fun. I could imagine this being a show and I would love that!!
Until the next adventure xxx
