The start of an exciting new trilogy (within the Little Duck Pond Café series) about three sisters struggling to get past the events of their childhood.
When middle sister Aurora (Rori) escaped a bad relationship and fled to Sunnybrook, she was crossing her fingers for a brand new start. Meeting the gorgeous Kurt has put some sparkle back in her life. But now the past has come back to haunt her. Scary things keep happening and it's becoming impossible to know who she can trust. Someone wants to keep her in fear, but where and how will it all end?
With the help of her new friends at the Little Duck Pond Café, can Rori solve the mystery before it's too late?
A new trilogy within the Little Duck Pond Cafe and new sisters to meet. It was great to see the gang and the extended gang and now the newbies, although with so many characters we didn’t see everyone.
Rosie is definitely delving into new territories, as she is going dark and creepier with stalkers and someone getting “lamped.” Aurora is lovely, being the middle child is never easy, so I’ve been told, and you are a constant peacemaker. She left an abusive relationship and started afresh but has Nash found her? And why would Kurt put his foot in it?
It was a great instalment with a great twist to it which I didn’t see until it was too late. But don’t worry we still have romance, love, hearts, flowers and of course sunshine.
This series is still as addictive as the first book. I just fly through them so quickly. Although happy days I have found 2 I’ve not read yet, so I’m not done yet.
Each character has their voice and you know straight away who each of them is and where they came from, it’s great!
I’m looking forward to meeting Skye very soon!
Until the next time xxx
